This site describes my many varied interests. I hope to keep it up to date with things that are going on in my life. For friends and family, I created the “Family” section. I'm also starting to attract some clients for web development and GIS consulting so I have a section for that. Music and Birding have been the things that take up my spare time since I can remember so I'll be building those sections up extensively.

Recent Activities - Amazon and CafePress

Amazon Downloads

I've discovered Amazon's MP3 Downloads.. I've been buying them up ! For example I bought High Bias by Niacin featuring Dennis Chambers, John Novello and Billy Sheehan. I also bought Life Enigma by Jean Luc Ponty and Motivation Radio by Steve Hillage.

Amazon has quite a nice collection of stuff. I was able to find stuff that I couldn't find elsewhere and that was quite obscure. You might be able to tell that I like some rather obscure artists from the Jazz Fusion set.

The downloads are very convenient and inexpensive (compared to CDs). I installed the downloader and used it to download full albums with Amazon one-click to download each CD. It automatically adds the music to your ITunes music folder.

I've been enjoying being an Amazon Associate. It has been tough getting any sales but the links are relatively easy to build. They have some new widgets that are easy to add such as those on my birding website. I put a &lquot;favorites&rquot; widget on the Allegany Sites and Garrett Sites site guide pages.

CafePress

I've also started selling stuff through Cafe Press. I have two stores. One is Buddy's Apparrel where I have t-shirts and mugs and a mouse pad with buddy the dog photos on them !. The other is my Western MD Birding store where I have gear promoting my website.
